I'm interested in placing the viewer beyond ordinary space and time. Its not to depict a particular moment but more a immediate sense that one may get in the present.
I've appropriated several clouds from different traditional Thangka paintings. They will be used in a small wall sculpture with a simplified landscape. This is one of several parts of the piece in progress.

After 5 months finally done.
The structural ideas of the diorama poses an interest to me as a way of depicting an event. They are like snap shots, a postcard into a unknown place. -Working with the idea of non-linear storytelling, I wanted to portray the alchemical idea of Nigredo through metaphor.
Currently teaching in a Visual Arts Program for High School, I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a masters degree in sculpture.
