New Work

Untitled, 5 feet x 3 1/2 inches x 1 1/2 feet, acrylic, wood, light, resin, 2008.
I'm interested in placing the viewer beyond ordinary space and time. Its not to depict a particular moment but more a immediate sense that one may get in the present.

In Progress

I've appropriated several clouds from different traditional Thangka paintings. They will be used in a small wall sculpture with a simplified landscape. This is one of several parts of the piece in progress.

New Sculpture

"Unyielding Necessity", Paint, Wood, Paper, Light, Plastic Sticks,Fur, 5' x 2' x 10'
After 5 months finally done.
The structural ideas of the diorama poses an interest to me as a way of depicting an event. They are like snap shots, a postcard into a unknown place.
-Working with the idea of non-linear storytelling, I wanted to portray the alchemical idea of Nigredo through metaphor.
